Javier receives his star in Madrid/ Javier recibe su estrella en el paseo de la Fama en Madrid

Not only Hollywood has its Walk of Fame but also Madrid has its own. From today, people who live or visit Madrid could walk on this street. The board has decided to open this street with 25 stars, including directors and actors who “are and were” icons of the Spanish cinema. Of course, Javier couldn’t miss. His star was placed next to his uncle’s star (Juan Antonio Bardem) and director Luis Buñuel.

NOTE: My question is: Where did the foreign press get that Julio Iglesias and Placido Domingo had their stars, too?

I don’t mean to bother anyone but this happen when people just copy and paste “the information” without checking it first . ¡Ternuritas!

This is the correct list:

9 directors:

Pedro Almodovar, Alejandro Amenabar, Juan Antonio Bardem, Luis Buñuel, Luis García Berlanga, José Luis Garci, Pilar Miró, Carlos Saura, Fernando Trueba.

16 actors:

Imperio Argentina, Penelope Cruz, Carmen Maura, Sara Montiel, Emma Penella, Amparo Rivelles, Carmen Sevilla, Concha Velasco, Antonio Banderas, Javier Bardem, Fernando Fernan-Gomez, Pepe Isbert, Tony Leblanc, Francisco Rabal and Fernando Rey.

Btw, I’ll post more info later, ok? 😉
